Just a days after the Hermes “Leather Forever” exhibition has opened its doors to leather bag lovers everywhere, there is now an exclusive auction going at Bonhams, Knightsbridge, in which they have auctioned off sixty-four of the most iconic Hermes bags ever made. So far this event has brought in a total of nearly $890,000, with the exclusive selection of bags from 1950s-2008.
The exhibition sold an exclusive 1999 Hermes black patent crocodile Kelly bag, along with two Hermes crocodile Constance bags for $33,553, a 2003 dark brown crocodile Birkin bag for $47,368, but the biggest sale was of the 2008 Hermes dark brown crocodile Birkin bag that sold for a grand of total of $58,816. Surprisingly, all the items over exceeded its estimated original price, making this auction very successfully in proceeds.
We're relieved to see Rihanna has recovered from her hospitalisation enough to promote Battleship.
Rihanna looked amazing in a white dress with thigh-high split that she co-designed at the Battleship premiere in Los Angeles last night.
The singer had been rushed to hospital after the Mel Gala after-party on Monday night, suffering from exhaustion and dehydration. Rihanna tweeted pictures of herself hooked up to a drip.
Rihanna has recovered enough to return to her promo duties, telling Access Hollywood: "I'm a lot better now...I had a couple days to rest and re-hydrated."
She added: "I just had the flu and I kept working and I wasn't getting better so I took a couple days off to sleep and I feel great."
Rihanna has had a gruelling schedule recently, promoting her music and Battleship movie across the world and working on her new Sky Living fashion show with Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts.
Reports claimed RiRi ended up in a hospital in New York City straight after the Met Gala after-party.

Beyoncé remembers first trying makeup when she was 6 years old. “I was playing in my mother’s makeup,” she tells PEOPLE. “I had blue eye shadow and red lips, and I put crazy blush on. I looked like a clown, but I thought I was so beautiful.” Her routine has come a long way since then – the singer often does her own makeup for appearances – but her love for the basics remains. Asked what she wears to look awake after sleepless nights spent with baby Blue, she replies, “Lip gloss – I love L’Oréal’s Infallible 8 HR Le Gloss in Coral Sands – and a little bit of blush.”
Growing up around her mom Tina Knowles’s salon, Beyoncé learned a lot about beauty. “I like to experiment [with my hair],” she says. “I love playing around with highlights or bleaching the tips. I can cut and style my own hair.” In fact, she recently gave herself a trim, cutting two inches off her ends. “I just parted it in the middle and chh-chh-chh,” she reveals.
But it’s inner beauty that she values most – and she hopes her daughter will learn to do the same. “My biggest thing is to teach [Blue] not to focus on the aesthetic,” she says. “It’s really about who you are, and the human being, that makes you beautiful.”
When asked if she’s comfortable leaving the house without makeup, Beyoncé says, “Every day in my life is a part of my history, and I’ve worked really hard on my career and my life. So I make sure I wouldn’t be upset if somebody saw me.”
That means her standard lip gloss and blush, plus moisturizer – “I don’t have to spend that much time on my skin,” she admits – and sometimes, mascara.
“I’m pretty good at throwing out the expired stuff, but I hold on to my mascara for a long time,” she says. “I actually prefer old mascara. It makes your lashes thicker and longer.” But regardless of who’s seeing her and where, the star is feeling better than ever. “I have embraced my flaws,” she says. “And I feel more confident.”
The singer got decked out in this fuschia gown to be celebrated alongside the other honorees.

Actress Taraji P. Henson loves her body. The Think Like A Man star recently dropped her robe for Allure magazine, and showed off some of her most beautiful assets.
“My friends won’t be surprised by this shoot. Whenever we go to the beach, I’m like, ‘Is this a nude beach? Can I take my top off?’” she told Allure.
Reading Henson speak so confidently made me wonder if other women feel just as comfortable with their bodies and would pose in the nude.
